Teaching

As a Graduate Associate Teacher at the University of Arizona, I taught ENG 101 (Textual Analysis), ENG 102 (Rhetorical Analysis and Argumentation), and ENG 307 (Business Writing).

During my time in Tucson, AZ, I also worked for two years as an adjunct at Pima Community College, teaching Developmental Writing. I was involved in helping to develop the curriculum for this grant-supported pilot course. Please view my Courses Taught page for course descriptions and the number of sections taught.

As an Assistant (and later Associate) Professor of English at the University of New Haven, I taught first-year writing, technical and professional writing, and upper-division special topics courses, such as the "Writing In Digital Environments" course I designed. I also created a professional and technical writing minor. In my courses, I emphasize digital and visual literacies, public writing, service learning, and writing for transfer.
